Sony is expected to announce the launch details for the Playstation 3 in Tokyo at 3pm (Japanese time - that's 6am GMT). Also rumoured is another Playstation product - possibly a new version of the PSP handheld unit?

I imagine that this will be more damage control than anything. They will probably give a better indication of the launch dates since the "spring" launch is such a joke now. They'll save the interesting stuff for E3 where the press and hype will be out of control and they will need to compete with Nintendo's launch announcements.
